About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our college in Huddersfield. As a key member of our catering team, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to a high standard. This role is perfect for someone passionate about food quality, health, and safety, with excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the kitchen team, including scheduling shifts and training staff.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared in line with dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop menus in collaboration with the catering manager, focusing on nutritious and appealing options for students and staff.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality meals.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS REQUIRED
  • Previous experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for providing healthy, balanced meals.
