Day-to-day of the role:

As a Senior Educational Teaching Assistant, you will: - Work alongside class teachers to support the learning, as well as the social and emotional needs of our pupils. - Engage and motivate pupils with autism, inspiring trust and confidence. - Be a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner who actively seeks to improve the quality of learning. - Take positive action to enhance the educational experience, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all pupils. - Build team commitment and foster an environment of cooperation and support among staff and students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with SEN, particularly in roles supporting children with complex autism.
  • Ability to relate effectively to children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
  • Confidence and ambition to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
