BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker for a housing association based in Huddersfield

You will be working with tenants helping them with support around housing tenancies including rent and service charges, repairs and inspections.

The duties include but are not limited too:

  • Rent and service charges are collected and action plans put in place if needed.
  • To work alongside the tenants in understanding how best to provide support through a thorough risk assessment process to highlight any risks to themselves, their tenancy, or others – this must be reviewed on a regular basis.
  • To provide information, advice, and guidance to enable tenants to understand their responsibilities and support them to develop effective strategies to manage those responsibilities.
  • Ensure liaisons with external agencies take place as required.

The candidate:

  • Experience of housing and/or estate management
  • Experience of dealing with anti social behavior
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
  • Ability to manage challenging conversations
  • A non judgmental approach to working with people

This is a temporary ongoing position working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, with occasional evening/weekend meetings as required.

This is a Temporary role expected to last 4 months but could be extended.

The pay will be Circa £16.00 per Hour UMB

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for the role.
