With exciting expansion plans ahead, we are recruiting an Inclusion Support Worker at Joseph Norton Academy in Huddersfield. Our school is a special academy educating children and young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties across Kirklees. As a School Inclusion Support Worker ISW at this school in Huddersfield, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and help our pupils navigate the path to a better future. This includes:
- Getting the classroom ready for lessons
- Supporting the pupils in class
- Helping those who need extra support
- Completing pupils records
- Taking the lead on specific activities and sessions
- Providing learning routines at school, in the community and in the family home
- Chaperoning students
THE CANDIDATE
- Experience in a school or similar setting
- IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
- Educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent OR willingness to undertake (salary reflective if criteria not met)
- Car driver with access to own vehicle OR willingness to learn
SALARY/ HOURS
Starting salary for a ISW Inclusion Support Worker is £21,903.70 actual annual salary working 32.5 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust which can be found on the trust website wellspringacademytrust.co.uk/careers
