We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our Positive Behaviour Support Team. This special school caters to children aged 5-19 with complex autism and has maintained an Ofsted rating of outstanding due to its dedication to exceptional standards in education and care.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support learning and address the social and emotional needs of students, working closely with the class teacher.
- Engage and motivate pupils with autism, inspiring trust, confidence, and a positive learning environment.
- Act as a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner who continuously seeks to improve the quality of learning.
- Build team commitment among staff and foster an inclusive atmosphere that values diversity and understanding.
- Maintain effective communication with children, young people, and other staff members to facilitate collaborative and supportive relationships.
- Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a similar or transferable role.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to children from diverse backgrounds.
- A proactive and ambitious individual who is confident and eager to go above and beyond for children with special needs.
- Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
