Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support learning and address the social and emotional needs of students, working closely with the class teacher.
  • Engage and motivate pupils with autism, inspiring trust, confidence, and a positive learning environment.
  • Act as a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner who continuously seeks to improve the quality of learning.
  • Build team commitment among staff and foster an inclusive atmosphere that values diversity and understanding.
  • Maintain effective communication with children, young people, and other staff members to facilitate collaborative and supportive relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a similar or transferable role.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to children from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive and ambitious individual who is confident and eager to go above and beyond for children with special needs.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
