Role Overview:
  • Support the learning and address the social and emotional needs of students alongside the class teacher.
  • Inspire trust and confidence among students.
  • Engage and motivate pupils with autism, adapting teaching methods to meet their diverse needs.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment and contribute to team commitments.
  • Be a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner, continually seeking ways to improve.
  • Take proactive steps to enhance the quality of learning throughout the educational setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably with special needs education.
  • Ability to relate effectively with children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students and staff.
  • Committed to professional development and self-evaluation.
  • Subject to an enhanced DBS check.
