A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Qualified Primary Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Huddersfield from Easter 2025 until the end of the academic year. This role will involve supporting teachers in delivering high-quality education while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning.

  • Support children with varying educational needs, including those with SEN.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional well-being.

  • Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, and other school activities.

  • Contribute to school events and extracurricular activities.

What Were Looking For:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and primary education.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to support children with different learning styles and needs.

  • A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to supporting childrens learning.

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
