A Huddersfield Primary school is seeking a SEND teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 boy who has multiple medical needs, starting in January.
Candidates should have experience working with children with additional and medical needs and be able to provide strong pastoral and emotional support.
Responsibilities include supporting the child with learning, administering medication, and providing some personal care.
The role requires flexibility and the ability to think on the spot, as well as some medical administration and occasional first aid (training provided).
The salary for this position is competitive, and the school is looking for applicants with prior experience in a similar role.

From January, a Huddersfield Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 2 with multiple medical needs.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

Supporting with moving safely around school
Supporting child with learning
Administrating medication
Some personal care

As a support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration and occassional first aid (training will be given).
