As an Autism Specialist Teacher, you will: * Develop and implement innovative educational strategies tailored to the needs of students with autism. * Collaborate with a team of skilled educators and support staff to foster a supportive and effective learning environment. * Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance students’ communication, social skills, and behavioural management. * Conduct assessments to monitor progress and adapt educational plans to ensure optimal learning outcomes. * Provide mentorship and guidance to other staff members on best practices for supporting students with autism. * Engage with families to provide insights and strategies that support their children’s learning and development both at school and at home.

• Proven experience as an Autism Specialist Teacher or in a similar role within special educational needs (SEN) settings.
• A deep understanding of autism and the educational challenges and opportunities it presents.
• Confidence and dedication to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS certificate on the update service.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to effectively work with colleagues, students, and parents.
• A commitment to continuous professional development in the field of autism education.
