Job Description:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored educational programs to meet the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs. Your role will include:
  • Developing and implementing individualisedlearning plans.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborating with support staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Monitoring and assessing students' progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Providing support and guidance to teaching assistants and other classroom staff.
  • Promoting social and emotional development through engaging and innovative teaching practices.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
  • A DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
