Description
- Keep track of resource needs for the short, medium, and long term.
- Work with transport planners daily to adjust resources for maximum efficiency and customer service.
- Ensure enough resources are available to meet client needs.
- Approve driver holiday and absence requests.
- Plan ahead to cover driver shortages with overtime, relocation, or subcontractors.
- Communicate with clients about upcoming resource needs.
- Build strong relationships with transport planners and drivers to improve coordination.
Profile
A successful Transport Resource Manager should have:
- Experience in managing resources or planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
