Overview:

Our client operates a dynamic and efficient logistics operation, ensuring smooth delivery and transportation services. Our fleet comprises 32 vans and 6 cars, all of which are essential to our day-to-day operations. We are looking for a skilled and proactive Vehicle Technician to join our team and maintain the safety and reliability of our vehicles.

Role Overview:

As aVehicle Technician (Fleet), you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs to ensure our fleet operates at peak performance. Key responsibilities include brake pad and disc changes, diagnostic checks, and general servicing of the fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled servicing and maintenance for a fleet of 32 vans and 6 cars.
  • Inspect, replace, and repair brake pads, discs, and other critical components.
  • Perform safety checks to ensure compliance with road safety standards and regulations.
  • Identify and diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Liaise with the Fleet Manager to report on vehicle conditions and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols in the workshop environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in servicing light commercial vehicles and cars.
  • Expertise in brake servicing, including pad and disc replacement.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with fleet vehicles.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle systems.
