**Fabricator / Welder**
Location: Huddersfield
Rate: £17.00p/h-£21.00p/h DOE + Holidays / Hol Pay
Inside IR35 (PAYE)
Full-Time, Temp-Perm
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Fabrication Engineer to join our Fabrication Team. You’ll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality products, ensuring production meets company standards and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and finish products to company specifications.
- Ensure timely completion of work within project schedules.
- Coordinate and prioritize parts for production.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives for cost efficiency.
- Participate in design-to-manufacture meetings to optimize processes.
- Contribute to QA procedures and support R&D projects.
- Maintain effective communication across teams.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong TIG welding skills, ideally working towards coded welding.
- Recognized apprenticeship/qualification in sheet metal work or fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Self-motivated with strong planning and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of equality and health & safety regulations.
Desirable:
- Experience working with thin-gauge stainless steel.
- Background in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Willingness to do site work when required.
