Commercial Cleaning & Compliance Operative
Duration: Temp - Perm
Location: Base - Meltham, Huddersfield however wil be travelling up and down the M62 corridoor.
Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm. Hours may change slightly on occasions
Pay: 11.50

Stafflex are actively recruiting on behalf of a local client based in Meltham, an award winning, friendly business offering a broad range of property services to a portfolio that spans the North of England.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning-
- To clean designated areas of the buildings to the highest possible standards.
- Mopping of hard floor surfaces
- Vacuuming carpeted areas
- Wiping, polishing, dusting of designated areas
- Ensuring communal bin areas are clean and tidy.
- Cleaning of internal glass, internal and external door glass
- Cleaning of external windows as necessary through specific window cleaning jobs
- End of tenancy cleans/rubbish removal
General duties-
- Comfortable with driving between developments in a safe and responsible manner
- Performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing door locks, fixing radiators.
- End of tenancy cleans/rubbish removals as and when needed.
- Ensuring equipment is maintained regularly.
Compliance Checks
Duties will include the following:
- To ensure that the buildings remain safe, secure and compliant at all times.
- To carry out weekly fire alarm testing and record results accordingly.
- To carry out weekly emergency light testing and record.
- To complete visual inspections of, but not limited to, doors, door access and security, lights and light switches, CCTV, fire escapes, lifts.
Requirements for the role:
- Cleaning experience - minimum of 1 year
- Full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to our various sites across the UK on a daily basis
- You need to be hard-working, honest, dependable, self-motivated and organised
- A customer focused, professional and polite manner is required at all times.
- You will also have a good understanding for the importance of Health and Safety
- Reach & wash window cleaning experience is an advantage, not essential.
