Press Machine Operator

12.48 per hour plus overtime
Monday to Thursday 05.00 - 13.00
Our long established client is looking for assistance in sourcing candidates for the role of Press Machine Operator. This will suit a hard working person who can think on their feet while operating the machine to it's optimum performance, solving any problems on the way.
- Start machine by engaging controls.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or product leaking.
- Regulate machine flow, speed, and temperature.
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as cartridges, lids, applicators and labels.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
- Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides.
- Supply materials to spindles, conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices and unload packaged product.
- Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
- Stack finished packaged items, ready for despatch.
- Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.
- Clean packaging containers, line and general area.
- Secure finished packaged items in the box on the Pallet.
- Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items
