We are Kingston Carton Company ltd, a progressive printed carton manufacturing business based in Hull. We are seeking someone to join our team as a Management Accountant on a permanent basis, due to impending retirement of a long-standing colleague. We offer a competitive salary depending on experience, including attractive working hours and holiday entitlement.


As our Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day accounting function, including financial controls and systems development.
  • Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Managing inter-company recharges.
  • Overseeing VAT and corporation tax returns.
  • Accounting for imports of raw materials.
  • Overseeing of weekly and monthly payrolls, pension payment contributions, P11D submissions.
  • Working closely with auditors and supporting the annual audit processes.
  • Cost rates preparation.
  • Providing insights and analysis to support the senior management team.
  • Receive support from our experienced Accounts Assistant.


To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance and submissions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial Sage software as well MS Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications could be advantageous, but not essential. Individuals who are qualified by experience or part qualified will equally be considered.
  • Desire to work as part of a growing team in a growing organisation.
