Management Accountant – Hull – Up to £36,500A great opportunity has arisen within an ever-growing FMCG business in Hull for a Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager for an initial minimum 18 month contract. This exciting role is a brilliant opportunity to drive the business forward profitably, support the wider business functions and support the Finance Manager to enhance the operational/ financial reporting for the site.You will have a continuous improvement mentality, tenacity and a passion to get involved in the wider business and add value. The site is about to go through a period of rapid expansion that could double its revenue, so it is a really exciting time to join the business and therefore is like to offer fantastic long term/ permanent opportunities down the line for the right person. Management Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of the weekly management accounts, including:
    • Reconciliation of weekly sales figures
    • Preparation of weekly cost of sales, packaging, transport and labour figures
    • Preparation of rolling overhead figures
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Accounts receivable control
  • Stock reconciliations and reporting
  • Management of a team of two finance assistants
  • To provide data to operations and commercial teams to assist with decision making
  • Ad-hoc project work and maintenance of general ledger
  • Education of operational teams at all levels, drive improvements through challenging business KPIs, operational performance and procedures
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Ideally later stages PQ or Qualified CIMA/ACCA or strong QBE
  • Strong manufacturing and operational reporting experience
  • Proven ability to build relationships cross functionally and a passion to get into the wider business and add value
  • Able to motivate and mentor self and others
  • Continuous improvement mentality
  • IT Literate including excel and ERP systems
