Location: Hull, onsite 5 days a week

Hours: 37.5, Monday - Friday

Start Date: ASAP/ End Date: 31st December 2025

Pay Rate: £17-£20 per hour depending on experience

Randstad are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our client who is based in Hull. Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy being part of an integral department?

Responsibilities for this Accounts Assistant role

  • Treasury tasks, set up payments in GBP and foreign currencies
  • Preparation & submission of weekly GBP & Euro cash-flow forecasts
  • Perform bank & cash reconciliations
  • Reconcile web-sales to credit card and PayPal receipts
  • Input of accurate & complete data to the General Ledger cash book
  • Assist with monthly preparation of timely management information
  • Collate data & post accurate month end journals, assist with detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation for year-end audit & timely resolution of audit queries
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Analysis & interpretation of opex & capex items
  • Preparation & maintenance of prepayments & accrual schedules
  • Preparation & submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Data cleanse for transition to new ERP system
  • Ad-hoc internal financial information requests
