Axi Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established accountancy firm in central Hull for an Assistant Accountant. The role of the Assistant Accountant will join a company in a growth period and will contribute to a dynamic, experienced and talented Finance Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare Limited Company, Sole Trader and Partnership accounts.
  • Bookkeeping.
  • Support with preparation of personal tax returns.
  • Wages journals.
  • Dealing with HMRC on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

  • AAT qualification is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
  • Experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Limited Company accounts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
