Location: Hull HU12

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Our client, a leading name in the forklift maintenance industry, is seeking a highly skilled Forklift Engineer to join their dynamic team. Established in 2001, the company has earned a reputation for providing excellent repair, refurbishment, and maintenance services for a wide variety of material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair & Refurbishment: Perform comprehensive repairs and refurbishments on forklifts and heavy-handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Diagnostics: Use schematic drawings and manuals to identify faults and ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Maintenance: Carry out regular servicing and part replacements, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Workshop Management: Oversee the upkeep of the workshop, including tool and equipment management.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional after-sales support, addressing customer concerns and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Workload Management: Maintain accurate timesheets and effectively manage your workload.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Level 3 Qualification in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, particularly in forklift repair
  • Proficient with mechanical power tools and workshop machinery
  • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Full Driving License

Desirable:

  • Experience in electrical repairs for plant equipment
  • Strong customer support background
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range of £34000 - £36400 per annum (Reviewed annually)
  • Overtime at enhanced rates (1.5x after 40 hours, 2x on Sundays and 3x on Bank Holidays)
  • Bonus scheme, loyalty bonus, and additional overtime holiday pay
  • Enhanced holiday days based on service
  • Full-time, day shift schedule with occasional weekend availability
