Job Title: Forklift Engineer
Location: Hull HU12
Salary: £34000 - £36400 with annual pay reviews
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Our client, a leading name in the forklift maintenance industry, is seeking a highly skilled Forklift Engineer to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Repair & Refurbishment: Perform comprehensive repairs and refurbishments on forklifts and heavy-handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites.
- Diagnostics: Use schematic drawings and manuals to identify faults and ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
- Maintenance: Carry out regular servicing and part replacements, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Workshop Management: Oversee the upkeep of the workshop, including tool and equipment management.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional after-sales support, addressing customer concerns and maintaining positive relationships.
- Workload Management: Maintain accurate timesheets and effectively manage your workload.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Level 3 Qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, particularly in forklift repair
- Proficient with mechanical power tools and workshop machinery
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Full Driving License
Desirable:
- Experience in electrical repairs for plant equipment
- Strong customer support background
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range of £34000 - £36400 per annum (Reviewed annually)
- Overtime at enhanced rates (1.5x after 40 hours, 2x on Sundays and 3x on Bank Holidays)
- Bonus scheme, loyalty bonus, and additional overtime holiday pay
- Enhanced holiday days based on service
- Full-time, day shift schedule with occasional weekend availability
