SolidWorks Design Engineer Permanent Full-TimeSalary - Circa £42,000 DOELocation - In office, HullWe're excited to support a specialist in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of energy recovery solutions, including circular waste heat recovery units and waste-to-energy power plants. Known for their expertise in both onshore and offshore applications, they serve industries worldwide.Due to increasing demand and growth, they seek an ambitious SolidWorks Design Engineer to join their team of experts.Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, aligning with project requirements
  • Design and develop welded products, including pressure vessels, boilers, gantries, and heat exchangers
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine designs, optimize product performance, and improve manufacturing processes
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and BOMs (Bill of Materials)
  • Liaise with suppliers and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project delivery
  • Prioritise safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the design process

Experiences required

  • Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and 2D drafting (or similar software: Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, Fusion 360)
  • Competent in creating detailed technical drawing packs for manufacture (DFM)
  • Background in designing for fabricated metal products, such as boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, gantries, storage tanks, steel frames, platforms, walkways, or material handling equipment
