About Us: We are a dynamic and growing company based in Hull, dedicated to providing top-notch services to our clients. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage our financial records with accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant qualification (e.g., AAT) is a plus.
