About the Company

Based in the centre of Hull my client is a leading independent professional accountancy practice firm. They provide accounting and financial management services to a diverse client portfolio operating in a wide range of business sectors. In addition, they provide specialist advisory services specifically around Corporate Finance, Business Start-up, and commercial planning. As the company continues to expand and increase their client portfolio the need has arisen to recruit an experienced bookkeeper.

About the role

As Bookkeeper you will part of a central accounts team providing a full range of general accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
  • Maintenance of accounts payables and receivables transactions.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • VAT Returns.
  • Management of credit control providing weekly analysis around customer aged debtor days.
  • Execution of weekly and monthly payroll.

Candidate Profile

You will be AAT part/qualified or qualified by experience. You will be organised and analytical with strong communication skills and a detail-orientated approach. Previous experience of working with Xero and Sage alongside the usual Microsoft Packages including excel.
