Job Title: Food Specifications Technologist
Location: Hull
Salary: Upto 35,000
Reporting to: NPD Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- Bridge the gap between Product concept and launch
- Conduct factory trials
- Complete internal specifications and customer specifications in line with project timelines
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within an NPD or Technical team in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of writing specifications
- Ability to manage trial and launch phases of the NPD process
- Multitasking skills to work on multiple projects
- Completing customer specifications and maintaining existing specifications via relevant portals
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to present data clearly within reports
- Articulate and confident to challenge when necessary
- Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
Other Duties:
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth transition of products from concept to launch
- Conduct factory trials and obtain relevant data
- Coordinate shelf-life testing, organoleptic assessments, and nutritional evaluations
- Create labels and stay up to date with labelling legislation to ensure compliance
Additional Responsibilities:
- Active contributor to the site team
- Host and attend meetings
