Job Title: Food Specifications Technologist

Location: Hull

Salary: Upto 35,000

Reporting to: NPD Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bridge the gap between Product concept and launch
  • Conduct factory trials
  • Complete internal specifications and customer specifications in line with project timelines

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience within an NPD or Technical team in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of writing specifications
  • Ability to manage trial and launch phases of the NPD process
  • Multitasking skills to work on multiple projects
  • Completing customer specifications and maintaining existing specifications via relevant portals

Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to present data clearly within reports
  • Articulate and confident to challenge when necessary
  • Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset

Other Duties:

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth transition of products from concept to launch
  • Conduct factory trials and obtain relevant data
  • Coordinate shelf-life testing, organoleptic assessments, and nutritional evaluations
  • Create labels and stay up to date with labelling legislation to ensure compliance

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Active contributor to the site team
  • Host and attend meetings
