Position: Mechanical Project Manager
They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in Education, Healthcare, MOD, MOJ and Defence Sectors. Project will be based in North Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Manager for all aspects of Mechanical Installations and delivery of the Project
- Estimating experience
- Procurement
- Subcontractor Management of Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, Electrical, BMS Control, Medical Gases, Fire Detection Systems, Chilled Water and Air Conditioning to Commissioning Stage
- Undertake Site Surveys
- D&B collaboration with Mechanical Design Consultants and Architects establishing Client’s requirements
- Health & Safety
- CDM Regulations
- Attend meetings with Clients and Consultants pre-tender and post tender
- Attend Departmental Management Meetings
- Issue Mechanical Installation progress reports
- Allocate labour to Projects
- Drawing Take offs
- Stock Control and Hiring of equipment
- Issue RAMS
- Monitor Installation for compliance with specifications
- Compile O&M info within data base files
- Responsible for direct Labour
- Monitoring of Gas Safe Compliance
- Coordination of M&E Services cross referencing Architectural drawings
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities.
- Previous experience in UK construction market is essential
- Relevant mechanical qualifications and a background in construction.
