Milk Education is looking for a Skills Coach in Hull. As a Skills Coach, you will play a critical role in guiding and mentoring apprentices or learners across various disciplines, including Engineering, Civil Engineering, Plumbing, Bricklaying, or Adult Social Care. The ideal candidate is an experienced assessor with a deep knowledge of one or more of these industries, possessing the ability to support learners on their journey from novice to skilled professional.
Skills Coach Responsibilities:
- Mentoring & Coaching: Provide high-quality coaching to support learners in developing the practical and theoretical skills required for their field.
- Assessing Progress: Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners, aligning with industry standards and qualifications.
- Developing Learning Plans: Work collaboratively with learners to set realistic, achievable goals and tailor learning plans to meet their needs.
- Supporting Learner Development: Actively monitor and encourage learner progress, addressing any challenges or barriers to success.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all assessments and documentation meet relevant quality and regulatory standards.
Skills Coach Non-negotiables:
- Assessor Qualification: TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent (required).
- Industry Expertise: Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Engineering / Civil Engineering
- Plumbing
- Bricklaying
- Adult Social Care
