Due to a significant increase in orders and as a result of an internal promotion, we are searching for a creative CAD Designer to join a leading manufacturer of premium holiday homes and lodges.

  • Office Based - Hull
  • 4 day working week (Monday - Thursday, 07:30am - 17:45pm - Flexible)
  • £40,000 - £44,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating accurate manufacturing drawings and machining data using SOLIDWORKS Professional 2021.
  • Organising and updating existing designs to ensure they align with project requirements.
  • Collaborating with departments such as Sales/Interior Design to ensure designs meet required specifications and business standards.
  • Play an active role to ensure the continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes, whilst supporting production to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Supporting New Product Development (NPD), particularly during new prototype builds.
  • Ensuring the quality of products and processes meet high standards and every stage.
  • Working in line with industry regulations (EN 1647 & BS 3632).

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CAD Design, ideally with expertise in 3D CAD packages such as SOLIDWORKS (preferred), Autodesk Inventor or Pro Engineer.
  • Experience working in similar industries such as holiday home/caravan/motorhome/modular building companies is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of furniture design principles and timber stud wall construction would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and program nesting would be beneficial.
  • An ability to prioritise your own workload and multitask effectively in what can be a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring every project is executed to meet the highest standards.
