Consortium is seeking a Principal Draughtsperson with experience in managing teams of Draughtspersons and Apprentices.
The role involves overseeing the creation of engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with standards, and conducting QA/QC inspections.
Candidates should have civil engineering experience and knowledge of software such as MicroStation or SolidEdge, along with an HND/HNC or equivalent in engineering.
The position offers a salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.
Applicants should have team leader experience and be ready to work in a collaborative environment.

Consortium is pleased to be partnering with our client in their search for a Principal Draughtsperson.As a seasoned Principal Draughtsperson, you will have a strong history of managing a team of Senior and Junior Draughtspersons, along with Apprentices, ensuring that engineering drawings are produced accurately and on schedule for a variety of projects.Principal Draughtsperson role & responsibilities:

Oversee the creation of top-tier engineering drawings
Ensure drawing compliance with both company and industry standards.
Conduct QA/QC inspections across multiple engineering CAD deliverables and perform self-checks before the approval stage
Supervise the team's workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Accountable for the team's submissions to the Design Department.
Offer specialised knowledge in Engineering CAD.
Generate and guide the team in producing diverse CAD drawings using various software tools.

The position is well suited to someone who has:

Civil engineering experience
Knowledge of MicroStation, SolidEdge or similar
HND/HNC or equivalent in engineering
Team leader experience

Principal Draughtsperson Salary & Benefits:

Salary per annum £50,000 to £55,000
