1:1 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for 2 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in an excellent school in Hull, starting as soon as possible and likely ending until the end of the academic year. This is a full time role, with working hours being 8:30AM to 3:30 PM. Payment for this position will be between £85 and £100 per day depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a student with ASD and ADHD, who also has behavioural difficulties. We will need a candidate well versed with de-escalation techniques, and who recognises triggers. A candidate who understands how to work well with students with SEND is also essential for this role. You will be acting to ensure that the student feels safe and secure in their new environment (they have recently relocated to the Hull area), and follow them in their learning journey.

Located in Hull, this school is easily accessible from different parts of Hull via Bus, and has a large onsite car park for candidates who drive. The school is part of a small, local academy chain that has great training provided to all their new staff. Temporary staff members get trained just the same as permanent staff members so that they are upskilled. Further training and support on working with SEND students is available in this booking.
