Behaviour TA

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Teaching Assistant based in Hull, starting as soon as possible and lasting until at least Easter but potentially for longer. This is a temporary position but is covering a vacant position, so there is the potential for a permanent role in the future. This will be working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hull. Payment for this position will be between £90 and £100 per day depending on experience and qualifications. Ideally the school are looking for full time applicants but will review applications from part time applicants as there might be room for a job share depending on the candidate.

This role will involve working as a teaching assistant within a PRU, where you will be specifically working with one class, following them through the day and forming strong bonds with the students. You will be working with students that have been excluded from mainstream secondary schools due to behaviour, and as such requires a strong character who can be understanding with dysregulated behaviour. You will support students in a number of lessons, both academic and vocational (e.g. cooking). Experience working within a similar setting is ideal.

Located in Hull, this school is easily accessible from different parts of Hull via Bus, and has a large onsite car park for candidates who drive. The school is part of a small, local academy chain that has a large amount of resources available on file, meaning that the amount of planning needed for this role will be extremely minimal.
