Description
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing and production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Support projects aimed at upgrading and improving electrical systems and production machinery.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure equipment modifications meet company standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Conduct safety checks and inspections, ensuring that all work is performed in line with company safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Maintenance Manager, highlighting any ongoing issues or risks.
- Utilise troubleshooting techniques to quickly resolve electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Use technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide fault-finding processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify areas for equipment or process improvement.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to maintain current knowledge of industry standards and advancements.
Profile
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience in an electrical maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, ideally in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, control systems, and industrial machinery.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
