Vacancy: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hull (HU12)
Hours: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off shift pattern (06:30 - 18:30, 18:30 - 06:30)
Salary: £41,950

On behalf of a leading client in the chemical industry, an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias is sought to join their dynamic team in Hull on a permanent basis.

Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer, the primary responsibility will be to maintain and ensure the efficient operation of various machinery and equipment on-site. This role is crucial for maintaining safety standards and minimising production downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

- Electrical Bias: Utilise expertise in PLCs to maintain machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the work area adheres to all safety regulations.
- Qualified Professional: Must be "time served" with relevant engineering qualifications.
- Health and Safety: Conduct all tasks following appropriate Health and Safety procedures.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform both planned and reactive maintenance efficiently to minimise production loss.
- Mechanical Skills: Possess mechanical knowledge and the ability to work from engineering drawings.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience within the chemical industry (Desirable but not essential)

Skills and Attributes:

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a practical, hands-on approach to work. Being a good team player and the ability to follow verbal instructions are essential. Experience with high voltage systems is highly desirable.
