- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance data input/output
- Evaluating equipment performance and recommending improvements
- Following safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation
- Identifying and reporting unsafe operations to Line Supervisor immediately
- Minimum City & Guilds with 17th Edition
- HV experience and qualifications desirable
- Counterbalance fork lift truck licence desirable
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns
- Experience within an electrical maintenance environment, preferably in heavy industry / manufacturing sector
- Experience of working in a factory with inverters, drives, PLCs, motors & control systems
- Fault finding / diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams
- Experience and knowledge of wiring and electrical equipment typically found in office environments
- Experience working with H&S systems, lock off / tag off procedure
- Able and willing to assist with non-core skill set tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under own initiative
- Good communication skills
- Ability to comprehend and safely operate electrical and mechanical equipment
- Ability to adhere to safe working procedures ensuring safety of oneself and colleagues
