Position: Nights Electrical Maintenance EngineerLocation : Hull Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 pm - 6:00 amSalary: £51,000 + OvertimeBenefits: Pension, Life Assurance, Professional Training & DevelopmentRole Overview:Working within a tight-knit team of three, you’ll be key to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations, with a strong focus on asset care and minimizing equipment downtime. This role will give you hands-on involvement in our growing site, where reliability and efficiency are top priorities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Reactive Maintenance & First Fixes: Rapidly respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure first-fix success rates, minimizing disruptions to production.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Conduct scheduled maintenance on critical machinery to prevent unexpected failures, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to keep detailed records and improve scheduling.
  • Asset Care & Reliability Improvement: Contribute to our proactive asset care strategy, enhancing the longevity and reliability of all machinery, including drives, inverters, contactors, sensors, and motors.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify and address the underlying causes of recurring issues, working to eliminate repeat faults and improve equipment reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement & Project Work: Play an active role in project work as we expand and upgrade our facilities, participating in installations, improvements, and machinery optimization to support our £10 million expansion project.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Must be NVQ level 3 in Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering
  • Technical Electrical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with drives, inverters, contactors, sensors, motors, and a strong understanding of fault diagnostics.
  • CMMS Knowledge: Familiarity with using CMMS for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Commitment to Reliability: A focus on asset care and improving the reliability of our equipment through preventive measures.
  • Happy to work on a permanent night shift
