An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Financial Reporting to join a high-calibre finance team as part of a large global business based in the Goole/Hull/Humber region.

Description

The Head of Financial Reporting will be responsible for the following:

  • Key responsibilities:
    • Key audit contact
    • Responsible for year end / interim reporting including production of annual report and accounts
    • Production of management papers on key judgements including going concern, annual impairment reviews, adjusting items, acquisition accounting, accounting for financing transactions
    • Production of impairment review calculations - intangibles, investments and intercompany impairments
    • Accounting for group restructuring activities including trade and asset transfers
    • Lead on activity following M&A activity
    • Part of integration team of new acquisitions
    • Understanding implications on the group of changes to and new accounting standards
    • Review of monthly group consolidation
    • Oversee production of UK subsidiary statutory accounts
    • Bank reporting
    • Ad hoc project work

Profile

The successful Head of Financial Reporting should have:

  • Professional finance qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Proven experience in a financial reporting role within the business services/building and construction/IT industry ideal
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

This role would ideally suit an experienced Senior Audit Manager making their first move into industry, alternatively a practice-trained financial reporting professional looking for a new challenge.

Job Offer
