Primary Objectives
Responsibility for planning the defined electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) Turnaround (TAR) scope, plus any late or emergent EC&I scope.
As a member of the TAR team, contribute towards the delivery of safe, efficient, on schedule, on budget TARs, maintaining reliability between events; ensuring scope is planned to the company’s high safety and quality standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilties
- Develop execution work pack documents for EC&I TAR scope, which typically includes preventive, breakdown and project activities. Work pack documents typically include the following (as applicable):
- Plot plan identifying location of scope / assets.
- P&ID identifying location of scope / assets.
- Annotated photograph of scope / assets.
- Hazard identification and mitigation measures.
- Flange / Joint integrity details.
- Scaffold (access / lifting) details.
- Insulation (removal / refitting) details.
- Contribute to the team ethos within the TAR, Engineering, and wider manufacturing teams.
- Interrogation of document management systems to obtain the necessary drawings and procedures.
- Use of CMMS (Maximo) to identify Work Order, Preventive Maintenance, Job Plan, and spares details.
- Use of the TAR flange/joint management process.
- Work closely with the engineering, operations, permits and procurement teams to ensure safe and efficient implementation of asset maintenance requirements, recording and tracking technical queries as they arise.
- Provide support to planners from other disciplines where EC&I input is required.
- Identify lessons learnt and areas for improvement, contributing to the lessons-learnt review process (task specific or more general improvements).
- Population of the master bill of materials (BOM) with responsibility for its accuracy.
- Population of the master Temporary Equipment list with responsibility for its accuracy.
Education (preferred)
- Completion of an engineering apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 in EC&I maintenance (or equivalent)
- HNC in EC&I engineering discipline (or equivalent)
Training (preferred)
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) awareness
- CompEx (Ex01 – Ex06)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development / technical training.
- Confined space entry.
Experience (both on the job and previous)
- Minimum of 5 years EC&I maintenance experience, preferably in the Petro/Chemical industry.
- Planning of maintenance activities.
- Experience of working within a CMMS system (preferably Maximo)
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera P6)
