Seeking candidates interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This position is working outside and is responsible for ensuring that all metals are processed efficiently to maximise operational profitability. Working in our Hull Dock site, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager.Â
On the job training will be given to our successful new team member. Â
Key Responsibilities
- To be responsible for Health and Safety under our Safety vision, Principles and Policy
- To contribute towards the efficient running of the operation
- Ensure that material meets the specifications required as directed by the Site Manager
- To ensure daily checks are completed
- Operational use of Mobile Plant duties when required
- To assist with Banksman Duties when required
- To co-ordinate with other site operatives to ensure the correct processing of all material
- To ensure their working area is kept in a clean and state at all times
- Deal with visitors to the site in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensure the Company’s weighbridge procedures are adhered to at all times
- Co-ordinate with yard personnel to ensure the correct processing of all loads
- Liaison with customers, lorry drivers, contractors and any other visitors to the company who may call at the weighbridge
- Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
- Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

Qualifications
- Proven track record of having worked in a team
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety
- Fork lift and Material Scrap Handler licenses would be desirable.
- Clean driving license required.
- Knowledge of metals grades an advantage
- Basic IT knowledge required, training will be provided on Company specific software
