Job Purpose:

To carry out grounds maintenance activities, responding to and carrying out reactive and planned works across the respective sites. 

What you'll do: 

Routine planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as directed by site manager / supervisor covering all site grounds maintenance this includes the following:

  • Seasonal grass cutting where required
  • Weed killing and removal of weeds as required
  • The pruning of hedges and shrubs as required
  • Complete maintenance to all planted areas associated with the sites
  • To carry out seasonal planting in agreed areas
  • To be responsible for the care and proper use of grounds maintenance plant equipment - Routine cleaning and lubrication of plant and equipment as directed
  • Completion of maintenance task sheets relating to all work carried out
  • During winter months, to assist with external maintenance tasks, including clearing of external pathways and site perimeter fence line clearance
  • Scheduling of reactive works, as directed by the site managers 

Who you'll be: 

  • Previous grounds maintenance experience / qualifications
  • Full driving license
  • Previous experience in a front facing customer service industry
  • English comprehension to a standard which is able to understand and action both written and oral instructions and training materials given
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Personable and approachable
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written formats
  • Must be willing to undertake further training
  • Flexible in the approach to daily duties
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  •  Comfortable to work alone using initiative and work as part of a wider site team
