- Creating and managing production schedules: You’ll be responsible for developing detailed, accurate production plans based on forecasted demand, working closely with the production team to ensure timely execution.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders: Communicating effectively with departments such as production, procurement, and sales to gather relevant information and update schedules as needed.
- Monitoring inventory levels: You will track raw materials and finished goods inventories, ensuring that the supply chain is in balance to meet production requirements and avoid delays.
- Managing production risks and identifying issues: Proactively identifying potential disruptions in production timelines, including supply chain delays, staffing issues, or machinery downtime, and taking steps to mitigate these risks.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards: Collaborating with the quality control team to ensure that production schedules align with the company’s strict quality standards.
- Reporting and documentation: Maintaining accurate records of production plans, stock levels, and any changes to the schedules, as well as providing regular updates to management.
- Proven experience in production and supply chain planning: You’ll need to have worked in a manufacturing environment, where you have developed the skills to manage production schedules and coordinate with various departments.
- Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for liaising with stakeholders across different teams to keep everyone aligned.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is key for managing schedules, inventories, and reporting. Experience with other Office tools like Word and PowerPoint is also beneficial.
- ERP system experience: Previous experience working with ERP systems will be essential in managing production data and inventory systems effectively.
- Strong organisational skills: You will be juggling multiple tasks at once, so the ability to prioritize and stay organized under pressure is critical.
