Science Technician

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a Science Technician to work on a full time (35 hours per week) basis at an education setting in Hull. This will be starting 10th March, and lasting as long as it takes to permanently recruit for the role, but this will likely last until approximately 10th May 2025. Payment for this position will be £105 per day. This is a temporary role, but as it is to cover a permanent position there may be potential for this position to go permanent if the candidate enjoys the role and is successful.

This role will involve setting up practical experiments for GCSE and A Level science students. You will be working with a small team of science technicians to ensure that correct scientific procedures are followed and that the prep room remains tidy and effective. Some other duties involved in this role include:

  • Preparation of scientific solutions
  • Cleaning equipment and test tubes
  • Assisting students with their practical lessons
  • Constructing apparatus
  • Performing demonstrations

Located in Hull, this setting is easily accessible from most areas of Hull via public transport, and has a large onsite car park for candidates who do drive. It provides a high level of science education and has fantastic equipment set up to ensure that students can access all the necessary practicals to support their theoretical learning. As part of a growing academy trust, success in this position may lead to further employment in the future.

  • Has experience working as a science technician
