Bates & Bradshaw are recruiting on behalf of a major Construction & Maintenance company in the Hull area who operate as one of the leading building, repairs, and maintenance contractors. They are presently employing around 500 people and have a turnover of 50m and they have some ambitious plans in place to grow this again over the coming years.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support senior colleagues by scheduling and planning the work for a multi-disciplined responsive repairs team, including joiners, plumbers, multi-trade, roofers, plasterers, electricians, groundworkers and sub-contractors etc
  • To proactively ensure the workforce are fully utilised at all times, determining the most effective ways to maximise productivity whilst maintaining a high performing customer focused service.
  • To actively monitor outputs against key performance indicators and proactively implement solutions to deliver the business needs
  • Move labour to match demands and proactively reorganise resource to accommodate unexpected variances

  • Significant experience of planning and scheduling multi-trade works
  • A proven track record of coordinating and motivating the workforce.
  • The ability to create a positive working environment and be a team player
  • The ability to work under pressure and the ability to work autonomously
  • An excellent eye for detail including actioning notes and ensuring materials are available
  • Excellent coordinating and resource management skills
  • An understanding of Key Performance Indicators
  • Fantastic team building skills, confidence and being proactive
