  Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Health and Safety Manager, you will:
  • Ensure the organisation complies with all Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective Health & Safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Provide practical training and education to employees, coordinating with external providers where necessary.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and driving corrective action.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with managers to integrate safety processes into everyday operations.
  • Develop and monitor Health & Safety performance metrics and present findings to senior stakeholders, including board-level reporting.
  • Support accreditation processes such as ISO, ensuring compliance and assisting with audits.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and legislation to maintain best practices.
  About YouTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:Essential Skills:
  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Demonstrable experience in a Health & Safety role within the logistics, warehousing, ports/shipping, manufacturing or transport sectors.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Familiarity with ISO accreditation processes and managing audits.
