AAT Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time AAT Lecturer to work at a fantastic establishment in Hull, starting ASAP and lasting until at least Christmas 2024. There is the potential for this vacancy to go permanent if the candidate enjoys the placement. This is a 15 hour per week booking, and payment will be between £20 and £40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. If the role goes permanent, the salary will be between £27,159 and £38,309 per year, subject to Pro Rata.

This role will involve teaching post 16 learners AAT and Accountancy skills, and as such a background in this area is essential for the role. You will be responsible for all the planning and marking, and will facilitate academic tutorials for students as well. For this role, ideally the successful candidate will have an Accountancy qualification (level 3) and a Cert Ed/PGCE or a willingness to work towards. The College is willing to put people through their teacher training, so people with a background in Welding but without teaching experience are welcome to apply.

The establishment is located in Hull, and does have some parking on site. There is also a local, cheap car park (parking fees can be reimbursed). It is extremely accessible for candidates who do not drive via public transport.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE/Cert ED or a willingness to work towards
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching Accountancy (ideally)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or a willingness to work towards), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
