Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA) is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. HETA provide training to Level 3 & 4 engineering apprentices, higher education and upskilling courses for over 300 of our client companies.HETA are proud to work with some of the biggest names in engineering and manufacturing, working together we support the growth of engineering training locally, regionally and nationally.

HETA are looking for industry specialists who are ready to take the next steps in their career to become an Engineering Lecturer where you will deliver a range of engineering subjects at Level 3, 4 and 5, as part of the NC/HNC/HND programme that HETA successfully deliver.

Subjects to be taught may include:

  • Mechanical Principles
  • Engineering Maths
  • Engineering Science
  • Engineering Design
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • CAD
  • Health & Safety
  • Organisational Efficiency & Improvements/Lean Manufacture
  • Professional Engineering Management

There will also be a requirement to facilitate and assess engineering projects at L3 & L4 and research project work at Level 5.

The successful applicant needs to have:

  • A degree
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
  • The desire to teach, enrich and empower learners using personal and industrial experiences

While assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential. Applicants without the qualifications will be required to complete a period of teacher training at college. Full support from the HETA Teaching & Learning team is available

The position would mainly be based at our Hull centre however a driving licence with access to own transport is required as travelling between centres is a possibility.
