About the Role: As a Maths Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mathematics education, fostering a love for the subject, and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate the varying needs and abilities of students.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment, ensuring timely feedback.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, with experience teaching up to GCSE level.
  • Delivering Maths curriculum to Key stages 3 and 4 students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Previous experience in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
