Maths Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Maths Lecturer to work at a college in Hull, starting ASAP and likely lasting until December 2024, with the potential to increase in the future. Payment for this position will be between £20 and £27 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this position will be between 8:30 and 4:00PM, and you will be paid for 7.5 hours per day. This is a long term, temporary position.

This role will primarily involve teaching Maths to GCSE resit students, and may involve teaching some Functional Skills Maths. A candidate with good behaviour management will be ideal for this role, as often the students are initially disengaged with Maths, having potentially finding it challenging in the past.

The College is located in Hull, and is central, meaning it is easy to reach via public transport from all areas of the city. There is a car park onsite, but there are often not spaces available. Parking at a very local car park is available, with spaces always available, and this can be paid as additional wages.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or the willingness to work towards one)
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching Maths in the past, preferably to KS4 level
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
