Public Services Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Public Services Lecturer to work at a college in Hull, starting ASAP and likely lasting until at least June 2025. This is a temporary position until they recruit for the role, so there is potential for permanence. Payment for this position will be between £20 and £35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this position will be 8:30 - 4:30, resulting in 35 hours per week.

This role will primarily involve teaching Uniformed Public Services to Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC students. Having experience within the sector is ideal for this role, so you can impart your expert knowledge on the students.

The College is located in Hull, and is central, meaning it is easy to reach via public transport from all areas of the city. There is a car park onsite, but there are often not spaces available. Parking at a very local car park is available, with spaces always available, and this can be paid as additional wages. The college puts great pride in their vocational offerings, and have excellent links with local business to ensure that their students have the best possible opportunities during their course and afterwards.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or the willingness to work towards one)
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching Uniformed Public Services
  • Have a level 3 or above qualification in Public Services (ideal)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
