A well established and loyal client is looking for a Family Law Solicitor, who will play a crucial role in handling cases involving domestic abuse and private law children matters. This role requires a solicitor or legal executive with at least 2 years PQE, possessing a deep understanding of domestic abuse and private law children cases. The successful candidate should have extensive advocacy experience, especially in urgent cases, and strong local connections with domestic abuse organisations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle cases related to domestic abuse and private law children matters.
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings.
- Advocate effectively on behalf of clients, demonstrating a high level of expertise in urgent matters.
- Develop and maintain strong local connections with domestic abuse organisations.
- Act promptly in urgent situations, thinking on your feet to address immediate legal needs.
- Collaborate with other professionals within the firm and external organisations as needed.
Requirements:
- Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years PQE.
- Strong understanding of domestic abuse and private law children cases.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in divorce and financial remedy matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertaining to cases.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court pleadings.
- Collaborate with the legal team to achieve personal and team goals and objectives.
- Utilise advocacy skills to represent clients at Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal procedures.
- Provide excellent client service, maintaining clear communication and addressing client concerns.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of legal practice.
Requirements:
Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, with expertise in practice and procedure related to Divorce and Financial Remedy matters.
Possess in-depth knowledge of cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, and TOLATA claims.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in using the HMCTS portal, Microsoft Word, Excel, Case Management systems, and MSTeams.
- Administrative Skills: Ability to be self-sufficient in typing and time recording, reflecting strong organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to Detail: Must have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and filings.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to be an active part of a team, working collaboratively to achieve both personal and team goals and objectives.
- Advocacy Experience: Previous advocacy experience is essential, with a willingness to conduct advocacy at Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in dealing with Divorce and Financial Remedy matters.
- Strong advocacy skills with experience in Directions Hearings and Contested Hearings.
