Consortium Professional Recruitment is proud to support an established manufacturing company in their search for a Supplier Quality Engineer. This role provides an exciting opportunity to take ownership of supplier development and ensure component quality across a global supply chain.  As a key member of the quality team, the successful candidate will lead supplier audits, quality investigations, and process improvements, working closely with both internal teams and external partners. This is an excellent role for a proactive and detail-focused professional who is passionate about maintaining and improving quality standards. Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Lead supplier quality investigations, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (8D, SCAR).
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) through PPAP and APQP processes.
  • Develop and implement Supplier Returns Agreements to facilitate clear communication and resolution of defects.
  • Analyse supplier performance data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
 Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in a supplier quality engineering or similar role within manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, and supplier auditing.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, 5-Why, and Pareto analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assess supplier capability.
  • IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
